What is done in the 15,000 service?
I have about 14k miles on my car now and i was wondering what they actually did in the 15k service. If it is something simple i was planning on doing it myself. Can anyone tell me what is it in it? And also, what motor oil do our cars use? And what should i be looking forward in doing for future service occasions.
15K service usually includes the dealer having his way with your wallet without anything significant being done to the car.
I would recommend not getting it done unless money is not an issue to you at all. Just keep up with your oil changes and lube your door hinges from time to time, plus check your coolant level.

Since I never go to the Stealership...........
I've been back once and it was a waste of my time.
But to keep the Warranty alive and well it may not
be a bad idea to let them do a 15K service. But don't
let them charge you for things like tire rotation and
antenna service. Go over the list with the service
rep.....change cabin filter and check out the fluid
levels. Since you don't need your oil changed that
should take care of the warranty issues. LOL

A lot of dealerships try to charge you a couple hundred for the 15K mile interval services. If you look in your owners' manual, you should only need an oil & filter change, and replace the in-cabin micro-filter. You only need to do those two, additionally you may want to replace your air filter if you haven't done so yet. Infinti recommends to change the air filter once every 30K miles, but it just gets so disgusting and dirty in half the time for most drivers. You can order a new OEM air filter online for like $12 shipped and simply replace it yourself.

The charge is around $200. I always go to the Dealership for service because the one I go to does good work, but more importantly to maintain a relationship. Some warranty claims fall into the gray area, and you are naive if you think the Dealer will go to bat for you if he only sees you when you want warranty work performed. Moreover, they always are issuing coupons to their regular customers so it's not a bad deal at all. For example I paid them $80 for the their A service which included a free rental. A month later they send me a coupon for a free oil change which is worth around $40.
The 15K or B service includes the following:
Change oil and filter
Rotate, balance, & inspect tires
Inspect axle & suspension parts
Service rear brakes
Inspect drive belts
Inspect air filter
Top off fluids
Add oil protectant
Service battery
Inspect exhaust system
Install engine & fuel treatment
Inspect brake lines, cables, pads & rotors
Lubricate locks, cables & hinges
Inspect front drive shaft boots
Inspect drive axles & front & rear suspension parts
Perform muti point inspection
Road test vehicle
Replace cabin filter if needed
