axel clicking?

I have read posts about this clicking noise from axels and think i may have it now.

I hear like one or two click/crunch kind of noises when accelerating.

Is this that common problem axel noise other have mentioned or is that more of a constant clicking?

thanks

My 03 did the same thing. I took it back to Infiniti & they solved the problem under warranty.

ok so yours was just the one or two clicks on acceleration then and not a steady clicking noise?

if so, what was the cause of it, what did the dealership tell you was the problem?

lol, your icon looks like one of those crazy fish that live at the bottom of the deepest ocean and glow. cool looking.

Your axel clicking issue is covered under the following TSB:

took mine to the dealer for the exact same issue...they kept it for a few days and when i went to pick it up they said the clicking noise was fixed under a TSB along with another problem (my clutch pedal squeaks loudly when pressed like an old wooden floor)...when i drove the car off the lot, clutch still squeaked and still clicked when accelerating/slowing down. what a waste of my time

I had the problem as well, if you drive very slow you can eally hear it. It annoyed the heck out of me. I was covered under warranty when I had it done, so I don't know what you will be able to work out. If it is a known problem and has a TSB, maybe they will cut you some slack.

Yes, I toke my car in to the dealer on thursday and they did resolved the issue. No more clicking. I am not sure how long this will last, but, no more clicking noise. I purchased my 05 last October. It has not been a year yet and already had the clicking noise.

Just bought a used G35 and I have the same clicking noise. Going to the dealer to get a price quote to get it fixed, then going back to the dealer that sold it to me to make him pay!

have it as well. I have an appointment this thursday to fix the axle clicking, drivers seat creaking when making turns, and the clutch making a creaking noise whenever I press or depress it! ~~Too bad it takes 2 weeks in advance to make an appointment for a loaner

Bring it to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty via that TSB. I just had mine fixed in my Coupe a few weeks ago.

A word of caution... take pictures of your rear rims before you have them work on the car and make sure that they don't scratch up the paint on your rims. I did this before I had mine worked on, and sure enough.... when I got the car back, the rear rims were scratched inside the lug holes from a sloppy technician overspinning the lugs in the lug holes. I complained and told them they had to fix it and they had a guy come in and touch up the wheels.

That TSB only states 03-05 though, I wonder if 06 will be covered as well.
