Guys, before you go Wacko on the dealership, do a search on the forum and you will see the following:
1. Certain Cold Air Intake system (long length, wide diameter) does cause engine stall when lift off throttle at high speed. For this reason many forum members use Z-tube, or short length intake such as Stillen or PopCharger.
2. Improper air intake install might cause rubbing with the AC line in the engine compartment, which could cause AC line rupture and failure. This is also a documented issue specificly with first gen pop charger installation without modifying mounting bracket.
Best luck to your inqueries though, I hope you can work something out with your dealership.

they've decided to blame it on the AEM intake. And they WON'T cover it!! ANYONE have any suggestions?
Can you imagine Infiniti blaming your problem on your mod and then not be willing to cover it. Those bastridiges. It blows my mind that so many guys mod their cars, and then go running to Infiniti when things go wrong, and of course go ballistic when Infiniti denies coverage.

Anyhow, long story short.. I called Infiniti. They're gonna take a look, but they've been having a lot of people come back with same problem.
1. Stop moaning it was your own fault not Infiniti's.
2. Next time do research on parts you install on your car.
3. Go to the gym more often as steering and usings brakes on a car @ 50-55 without power assist isnt hard. I had to do this on a 4800 lb truck driving into a turn before.

I remember in the old days when American cars with power steering and power brakes were super assisted. When you lost power, it was almost impossible to turn the wheel or stop the dam car. By those standards todays cars are easy to turn and stop when the engine clunks out and you lose power assist. You've got to be prepared however because it will take more effort.

Ok.. Sorry. So here's what happened;
I was involved in a car accident about two months ago. It involved mostly all body, a control arm, and my intake breaking in half. It was in the shop close to 5 weeks. I get the car back and its running great, as if nothing happened.
About 2 weeks later.. it begins. The car starts stalling out on me when ever I decelerate. Mostly on off ramps and while taking turns. I finally took it in by the third time it happened. (all within a matter of 3 days) I didn't think it was at all anything I had done. Maybe accident related or a warranty issue. None the less I took it in. I explained that yeah it was in an accident, (they asked and I wasn't gonna lie) but nothing mechanical involved.
They started running diagnostic testing after I authorized them to do so. If it was warranty related then they'd taka care of it. However, if was secondary to the accident then the insurance comes back into play and they pick up the slack. After 2 weeks of running test after test they got into the AEM intake and restored it to stock. Ran in stock a few times and apperantly it stopped stalling. How convinient; loop hole. Now I'm stuck with a $690 bill.. Not a warranty issue and according to them not related to the accident. This SUCKS!!
I am VERY disappointed with Infiniti of Fairfield. I can't believe that after all that they would say it's my fault bacause I added the intake. Mind you I had it installed about 2k into owning the car and now it has 28k. WTF!? Me thinks the accident definately had something to do with it. I can't prove it now. I've restored in back to the factory intake and we'll see.

Why wouldn't they charge your for their time when they found out a non Infiniti part was what caused the whole problem in the first place. Put the stock back on and it'll probably solve your problem. Stop blaming others.
