hit and run :(

my car was recently into a hit and run accident while
being parked in a parking lot . Luckily someone saw
the whole incident and gave me the license plate of the
person who did it. A **** off but what can you do. Then I
reported the whole thing to my insurance company and finally
i can get my car fixed. The person scuffed up the back right end of my bumper and rubbed a bit of the back right
wheels rim. so i took the car to a great shop and now its
being repaired. my question is, i have a couple small
marks on the car that i told to get repaired such as
repainting the underside of the front bumper (which is
because i rubbed the underside of it on concrete when i first got the car
...i know...stupid but it happend and it was pissing me off for a long time) and a few small marks on the front of the bumper due to rocks on the highway etc ..the question is my coupe is ivory pearl...should i go to the dealership and pick up some touch up paint and give it to the repair shop...or would they do it themselves

if it is a good shop, you shouldnt have to worry about the paint they use.

hell have them do it, and have them bill it to the hit and run guy, screw him/her for being a p*ssy/d!ck and hitting your car in the first place. hell if you could have you should have charged them for some new volks, a body kit, maybe a TT setup. lol anything you can get.

Did your insurance track the person down? Did the guy/girl have or give any excuse for why the left the scene without even a note? Were they shocked/emberassed when they got caught?

nope...it took me a month to get my insurance to give me the clearance to get the thing fixed. Pissed me off big time...didnt even feel like driving the g around. I had proof from a witness and everything and they still took that long. If i didnt have the witness i would have been scrooed big time.

damn I had an STi and I reported a hit and run on it where my tail light broke and I had a dent in my rear quarter panel, I had it in the shop in like 2 or 3 days with Allstate. I dont know if its cause my god mother is my rep, or what, but they did me good. only cost the 500 deductable.

Who the hell is your insurance? Dump them and something else that is not right. I know exactly how you feel got hit twice no note of witness around. I will be getting my car in the shop on Monday.
