is this BS or what

I get off the phone with an infiniti dealer here is cali, i ask them about after market parts and effect on warrenty. he tells me everthing for my car he gets from the stillen web site. he told me about the pop charger,CAI, catbacks, and that those parts wont void the warrenty so long as they do the install so i ask him if i get the parts outside the STEELERSHIP and take it to a bonifide shop for install he said if anything goes wrong it is between me and the shop and i will void my warrenty.
, so then i ask if i buy the stillen parts and have him install will that be a problem he said WELL WHEN THE DEALER BUYS FROM STILLEN, STILLEN SENDS THEM SPECIAL PAPERWORK THAT WILL KEEP MY WARRENTY INTACT, BUT IF I BUT IT MYSELF AND DONT HAVE THE PAPER WORK THEY CANT PROMISE ME THAT IT WONT VOID MY WARRENTY

IM PUTTING UP THE BS FLAG ON THE THIS ONE

Nah, the warranty is cannot be voided unless the dealership proves that whatever part(s) you put in caused the problems in the car. There are laws against that. So in plain words, he's full of ****. :-)

speaking of warranty... im taking my car into cerritos infiniti possibly tomorrow for a window problem and my seat, which dont work right... i have pullies, upper plenum, exhaust, HFC's and intake... you think they'll try to void my warranty or give me s.hit about my cars set up? Anyone know if they'll void ur warranty or take note that u have those mods, or is it perfectly fine to just take my car in?

I dont mean to jack this thread, and sorry for doing so but since we're on the topic thought i'd ask...

Since your mods have nothing to do with your problems they shouldn't say anything about them. As far as them making an note of the mods I don't see any reason to since there not looking in your engine anyways.

Ya gotta love Stealerships...............

I took my G in for breaks and they didn't say a word
about the mods I've made......the breaks were a
warranty item too. Why don't we call the mods we've
made "Upgrades?" Only because most are!!!

Looked at your sig, its say "custom" sound? well, back in 03, I have x-over fiberglassed to the armrest, three way speakers in the door and had Dynamat the doors, I took it to dealership cus the motor wont work, back then the window problem wasnt widely spreaded, at first they told me they wont even going to check out the problem cus the speakers and Dynamat, so I had stereo shop to takethe door panel off and strip out the Dynamat and take it back to the dealership without the door panel, got a call from them four hours later? they said the problem was someone tap the power led from the window switch and blow the motor...long story short? I have to shell out 500 bucks to get it replaced, so be forewarned and good luck with it.

well i've had my speakers in for well over a year and havnt had problems.... the motor works some times... if i slamm the door it'll work, but very slowly.. the motor seems to be struggling, with what i dont know... the window use to also roll up on auto and then come back down, recently it just stopped working, so i really dont think its my speakers... as for custom sound all im running are MB Quart components in the door where the stock blose system was and the crossover next to it... most of the custom work was done on the subs and amps... but yea cerritos always tries to screw me on stuff.. they said the seat was my fault?! i almost started yelling at the service manager until he said they'd fix, which they did and now i have the same problem again, and now the window went out... im just afraid to see what bs they're gonna tell me... if they wont warranty it i'll go to another dealer and if they dont there then imma go to nissan and pay half of what infiniti wants to fix it :-D

Actually the aftermarket stuff wasnt the "cus" of the problem, its just the motor itself, what would be the purpose of running power led from window switch? I had alarm that roll the windows up and down, but it was using the paulse of door locks rather than the window switchs. I was just didnt want the hassle of fighting them and I wasnt aware of the problems with G35's window motors.

yea i know.. infiniti is bs like that... thats why i hate their service... bmw or mercedes unless they can directly prove that it was ur fault, they're warranty it for you... but with infiniti i have to bring my lawyer along with me to be taken seriously... i mean s.hit its so hard to get anything warrantied...
