What mods first with a $1500 budget

Obviousley not everyone read your post... its why your getting things like body kits and so on. Just do some research and see what fits your driving style the most. Why get a sway bar if you just drive normal day to day??? There are plenty of options out there, but I think the most popular are going to be plenumspacer, MREV2, intake, cats, and exhaust. I went with intake, exhaust first and just got my MD 5/16 spacer. I will say my personal opinion though is to lower the car an inch or so. Makes the car look much better and seems to handle better as well.
Whatever you do, enjoy it. Its a great car and you will always have something else to look forward to buying.

I would chuck up a little more and get a coilover set.
KW Variant and Bilstein PSS9 are around this price range. I havent read any reviews on the KW's but, I've driven a few porsche's a couple of miata's with the KW suspension. They're very street friendly, yet hard core enough to take on autox and roadracing. I believe Nissansource has a review on the PSS9...I'm too lazy to do a search.
Maybe add into the mix some progressive tech swaybars. One of my good friends has 350Evo swaybars, and I compared it to progress tech's in my car. on the subject of feel, I couldnt tell the difference between his and mines. on the subject of price...progress tech is a best bang for your buck. get a hold of dave at partshippers.com, tell'm 636Racer referred you.
The G35 is already powerful enough out of the box. It's weaker points is suspension tuning. Getting suspension work will utilize it's power in and out of the turns. besides, the engineering is more geared for roadcourse and drifting.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I'm going to do some suspension work on the car eventually, but for now, I'm working on some basic performance upgrades to give the car a little something more in the power department. I'll eventually drop the car and add sways to it.
As far as visual components go...I like to keep things simple so I probably won't do much in the way of a body kit. Maybe overlays and clear corners, but that's about it.
For everyone that mentioned, tint....I did that about 3 days after I got the car.
I will be doing the installs myself so I won't be out any money for installation. I've done the installs on all my previous cars with the exception of major motor work.
I'm kind of leaning toward exhaust, test pipes, and intake because I'm throwing around the idea of adding a supercharger down the road. I don't want to invest in the spacer and mrev until I decide which supercharger I want to go with if any.

Intake definitely, the stock headers on your car for now are pretty good. High Flow Cat from Random Technology is one of the best ones out there followed by the the Exhaust..that should open up some HP for that budget. You'd only upgrade the headers and more if your gonna go with the Twin Turbo Set-up or the Stillen Stage II Supercharger or any kinda superchargers out there. Good Luck!

Get a used Z-tube and Crawford cats if the car sounds all that awfully quiet to you right now.. but the rest, MREV's, headers, test pipes and such will give you pathetic $ per hp results. Save your money for a S/C or turbo if you're serious about it...
