Any insight would help on this one!!!

I have a brand new '06 6MT Coupe with less than 4000KM on it. Ever since I picked it up I noticed strange noises coming from the tranny - mainly through 1st and 2nd. My dealer replaced the tranny with a new unit yesterday. This morning as I was driving to work the whole f-ing thing (drive shaft and all) basically detonated. Sounded like someone tossed their cutlery into my gearbox. I got towed to the dealer and am waiting to hear from them on what's going to happen. At this point though I am tempted to try and demand a NEW CAR. It seams obvious that I may have picked a lemon!!! Any advice from anyone on both the problems I mentioned as well as how to get them resolved.

holy crap! less than 4k km's and u had the tranny changed?! what kind of noises did u originally hear? i'm thinking the dealer didn't install the new tranny properly... i've never heard of the tranny blowing like that anywhere on here. most of the problems people have had were with synchros. u should try posting in the canada section of this site. lots of members from the gta there. which dealership are u dealing with right now out of curiosity? there's an organization out there called the automobile protection association www.apa.ca ... they're membership fee is quite reasonable and i'm sure they can help you out if your major problems persist and u wanna take the lemon route.
