Help!!!!!!

So today im driving and I smell something burning, so after about ten minutes the smell got realy annoying and i decided to pull into a gas station to see what it is. When i get out of the car I see smoke coming from the hood! So I open the hood and even more smoke comes out. I then look under the car and see a pool of oil about the size of a football. I took the car to my friends house wand we jacked it up, and there was oil all under then car(on the A-arm, skid plates, ect), and in the lower area of the engine bay(only on the drivers side). At this point i realize that the oil dipstick is a little bit loose, not out, but loose. I think the reason for all this oil is the fact that the dipstick was loose; but my friends say if that was the case there woulds been oil all over the underside of the hood, and the engine. They all think that I blew the valve cover, an oil line, or the gasket on my filter. Either way my car is sitting in my driveway right now and im debating wether or not to bring it to the dealer or my mechanic.

I have been putting the oil chang off and i dnt want the dealer to screw me on that, also i have a couple of non-important bolts missing from the engine. I just dnt want the dealer to know there was aftermarket stuff on the car.

If all you've got is what is in your sig, none of that is going to contribute to the size of oil leak you are describing. Call them up and have it towed in before the damage gets real bad and they refuse warranty work. And you're going to get a free oil change when they fix the car. Just let them know you've changed the oil every interval according to the service guide but didn't save the receipts. GL.

Try not to be nervous going to the dealer. They'll see you coming from a mile away...

Problem solved, the oil filter was loose. I have no idea how that happened.

Good to hear that klei. Also, the dipstick on the G's are not well designed as far as installing and removing; so better make sure that's truely in and properly installed.

What a dip stick..................

I've never seen a oil filter come loose.....they leak
if not screwed on tightly. I hope thru all this you
had your oil changed.....this isn't something you put
off unless you don't care about your G!
