Anyway, I think maybe I just rev too high. Shifting at 5k regularly might get some drivers jealous

In my town the car def attracts a little extra attention but nothing that is a problem. Every now and then there is a ricer that comes by looking for some action but mostly it's just an admiring look or thumbs up.

Are you kidding me?? this **** happens to me allllllll the time!
Everything from POS cars to porsches. It's ridiculous. It doesn't help much that I put 20" black/silver lip wheels on my car...it gives more of an edge and people tend to bite more. d'oh well

Yeah, agreed, seriously guys. I get F'd with nonstop. Camaros to F150s, Civic DXs to other G35s.
It never ends, daily, in fact today i had to wave off a ****ing Prelude who was revving at a stoplight, wasn't in the mood at all.

It's probably you, or more specifically, the way you're driving. If people are tailgating you, passing you and then cutting you off they are trying to tell you to GET OUT OF THE PASSING LANE!!!
Remember, stay to the right except to pass. If you're not passing someone, you shouldn't be in the left-most lane. Although it is a law in many states, it's a common courtesy that should always be observed.

Two ricer cars tried to challenge me on the interstate couple weeks ago. Normally, I would ignore it but it was the day I hit the break in mileage and I accepted the challenge. The 2 cars were a civic and integra, with exhausts that sounded like the car was straining. They were weaving traffic but stopped when they saw me. Got beside me and kept gassing it. I smiled, hit the pedal and left them in their tracks.

Usually when this happens the lane next to me is clear. No need for annoying to tailgate me to try to make me move.
Also, im usually going faster than everyone else... but not too fast. Just right.

Its not slow unless your comparing it to M3's , Evo's, STI's, Cayman S, etc.
In other words no, especially when you compare it with 95% of the cars in the road

G35s are a dime a dozen in LA. My wife says that people do get out of her way now when they hear the exhaust which is a change from when she drove an Altima. I have a STi and people stare at that all the time, but I've phased it out.

It is illegal to pass on the right in many states. Which is why you should never be in the left lane unless you are passing someone. Whether or not you are a fast driver is irrelevant. You need to leave the left lane open for those that are driving faster so they can pass.
Following this very simple rule will eliminate, or at least significantly reduce, the behavior that you've complained about. Why not give it a try some time?
Embarrassing
I read half this thread and had to laugh. I would be embarrassed if people got on our forum and read this, we sound like a bunch of conceited punks and everyone wants to race us. The fact is, many people in many cars always try to race each other, its just not us. I've owned my G for three months and only had 1 race, a Saab 9-3. I used to get a lot more in my S2000. If you drive like a racer, u get more races, but to single our car out is ridiculous. My 2 cents.
