That he just took off!!! He was running about 15 - 20 minutes apart..

I agree with juiced...the reason his 60foot time dropped is because that is when I told him how to launch the car. I had just run my 14.0 in 1badG's coupe and everyone was asking how I did it. So I told them how to launch the car better and both the auto's dropped their 60 foots and 1/4 mile times in the very next run. it had nothing to do with resetting the ECU. It was all in the driving and getting less spin out of the car. Prior to me running Matt's car, you all were launching WAY TOO HIGH! Once you lowered your launch down to 1,200 RPM's, you were doing .3-.4 better. it is all about the driving and nothing to do with the computer.

His last run he said he didnt do what you did.. He said he torque braked it and launched at 1500 RMP's if I remember correctly.. You were telling people to run at 1200..

Im not positive of all this i can only go by what he tells me and what i saw for myself.. All 14.8 - 9 runs and a 14.6 after the reset.. As I said b4 he said NO wheel spin on any of his runs..

He told me that he did listen to me, because he thanked me for telling him how to do it after the run. PLUS, I saw him spin with my own 2 eyes! he was launching way too high.

OK I got it I just got bad info.. Thats all.. I was unable to see his runs with my oun eyes but ill take you word for it as he must have been scared when he got up there.. No big deal.. Ill just keep reseting it just to make sure that my car stays at its best thats all...

e-town or island...I prefer e-town, it is a better track. I don't mind getting less runs if the track is safer and more accurate. Which do you prefer? Or we can go the wed after that if you want...the 29th...my car should definately be broken in by then

Yea you guys pick what is good for you as pretty much any date and time is fine for me(as long as its after 5 on the weekdays) I prefer Etown as well.

I didnt notice i was spinning. Maybe I was. I'm happy that I could replicate the times that Car and Driver have for the car. It was a nice time, no reason why to argue over these things.

 

It may not have helped but the ECU reset does SOMETHING for some of us, specifically auto owners. Until dyno proof exists I think I'll believe my butt and the dealer. Are you guys in denial about any benefit to the ECU updgrade or just this guys?
