my mom has a CLK350 with the 7speed tranny and its no match for my G at ALL. Even stock the car doesnt have as much kick as my G, stock on stock... the 350 also has a substancial increase in power over the 320... from 215 i think to 268 is what the new 350 has.. or there abouts... if a 99 320 smoked u theres something seriously wrong with ur air filter, MAS, fuel or oil... look into it

You shouldn't have lost. Speedwise our cars perform similar to the level of a BMW 540i or a Benz 430. That would be a much closer race, but 320's shouldn't be any challenge, and the only 350 you should have to worry about is the SLK (b/c it's a lot lighter then our cars). CLK's are still very heavy, and our engine pumps more power then a 350, and definately a 320.

something is def wrong, cuz i had an 05 maxima AUTO....few bolts ons (intake, exhuast,y pipe and timing advanced) and I raced a clk320 a couple of runs from light to light. The shmuck in the clk kept jumping on me before the light turned green so i would then floor it and play catch up, by 50 i was next to him, by 100 i was 2 1/2 or more cars in front of him.

in the 5ATs you have nothing under 3.3K for sack...if your VDC is on and you are in auot mode and you floor it, not only will the slip light come on from loss of traction, but you will lose any momentum you were building and as someone said far b/f the ball busting started we have fat pig, but gorgeous cars...so you don't need to brake torque, b/c that will lose all your power as our ECU retards up to 30% of the car's power if it feels you are trying to stop the car via the brakes while stepping on the gas, you just need to take the VDC off, have your foot on the brake, and your other foot ever so slightly on the gas and when the light changes floor it, then release the brake and go...Manual mode will gain you a tenth if you have a reflash at the track, but on the street there is no real need, you should be fine. Now go kick her *** and then have fun making up afterward. :-)
