I just got a letter in the mail saying that theres a recall on the gas lines and that they might crack and leak gas everywhere. Anyone else get this?

i think this is a problem on the 03-04's
didnt know anything about the 05-06's having a problem.

 

yeah, i had it done about a month ago, its w/ some 04 and 03 models, not all of them, but yeah i dont know if its that necessary but i did it, all went smooth for me at van nuys infiniti, so i guess gl

 

it says in the letter "exists in some 2003 - 2006 models." Reason for recall: "The fuel filler hose may crack and result in fuel leakage from the hose while refueling. If an ignition source is present, a fire could accur. In addition, fuel vapor hoses may crack and cause the malfuntion indicator lamp to come on." Guess im calling Infiniti of Willow Grove to handle this for me. Everyone keep a look out so that this doesnt happen to you.

The current campaign says it's for 03-04 G35 and 03-06 FX35/FX45. Do you have an FX by any chance? Or can you post the affected VIN numbers?

 

no i have an 06 G Coupe. It specifically says 2003 - 2006 G35 Coupe models. Call your local dealership and ask them. Im only going by what the letter says.

Call the dealership and schedule an appointment.. I had mine done..
Make sure you have 1/4 tank of fuel in the car or less. They will have to drop the fuel tank. takes about 4 hrs..
they will give you a loaner and should wash ur ride.. Enjoy

 

I got my G35 coupe on May of 2006. I was wondering if I should just wait for this letter to come or should just call the dealership and get it check???

 

just call and find out. i got mine in April 2006.
