Resale value & 08' coupe

Resale value & 08' coupe
I know a few of you have the same dilemma. I'm seriously considering trading my 05 MT coupe for the new 08. What do you think our cars will be worth when the new coupe lands next year?
My option(s), keep the car for atleast 4 years, and mod the car to my liking. No let me rephrase that.. mod the HELL out of it. Or, sell my car like, now. This year. Buy something.. less appealing .. and then get the new coupe. I'm single an have only one car, so I'd have to get some sort of beater to drive. It's a hassle. Plus, I love my car. It's a tough call too, because we still have no idea what they will water down from the concept. I'm actually thinking I should've leased my G. But, I guess I still would've lost money anyway.
For all of you'll who put an investment into your G35, like I have
(bought an 05', 06' new). What will be your strategy? What are your thoughts? I would think that the 03' 04' guys are in a good position, because you have gotten the most out of your G.
On a side note, I went and test drove an 04 M3 SMG for kicks. If I were to make a trade, the dealer wanted to give me 28,000 for my car. I bought my G for 37,5 new (Nav, 6 speed, sunroof, sports suspension package, no spoiler). He wanted 50k for the beemer.. Um.. no. Not when the new M3 is coming out next year.

I say keep your car, you don't want to buy another new car and take the depreciation hit.
There's always something better out there.
Like they say, the grass always seems greener other side.
Love your G and Keep your G until it breaks down lol. then buy a super nice 2010 G35 or something else that's the best at that time.
thas my $0.02

I've thought about that before I purchased my 06 6MT coupe. I was debating whether to just get the 06 now or wait a little longer for the new coupe but I couldn't resist and ended up purchasing my car on the same day. I plan on keeping the car clean and completely stock as it'll probably be easier to sell that way and hope the there'll still be a high demand for these cars once the new model comes so I can get a higher resale value.

You know.. I wonder what the new Z will look like? I'm thinking my next car may be an all out sports car, so maybe the 08' G would be redundant for me. hmm.
Back on topic.. ok, what if I were to trade in to Infiniti. Would Infiniti at least give me a KBB pricing? You know.. some incentive for keeping it "in the family"?

You should be able to get the proper trade-in value when you're trading it to infiniti because they got infiniti used dealerships, so they'll want used infinitis.
but remember negotiating for trade in value and your new car price should be two separate negotiations. Sometimes they'll jack up the new car price even though you got a good deal on your trade in.
