General buying advice.
General buying advice.
So i have either had a hand me down car or company car for all my life; until now!
So i was hoping for a little hand holding while buying my first car.
I moved to the US about 18 month ago and have setup my own company and as such have been waiting for social security number until i bought a car, so i now have one.
I cant lease a car since i am not a recent Graduate and i have not been paying taxes for 4 years, so i have to buy one.
I can afford to pay cash, but i would like to build some credit.
1) The dealer i went to suggested that insteading of paying 100% cash i apply to a credit union for a car loan, put 10k, put the rest of the money in a savings account with credit union to secure the loan and pay off the car with no early penalty loan.
That all sounds good to me, any reason not to do it like that
Also what do people think about getting a car from a dealer as opposed to through ebay or privately.
I presume which ever way i went i have to get a car fax report?
Any and all advice about buying a car for a complete noob would be VERY gratefully received.
Thanks.
