Server Engine Soon light came on

I had an oil change today at a local autoshop. Afterward, my "Service Engine Soon" light came on.

I checked the gas cap, it's closed tightly. Doesn anyone know a way to reset the light or should I try the dealership? Thanks.

Go to a Discount Auto or Autozone and they can delete the cel for you.

It's possible that the place where you got the car serviced may have damaged or disconnected the wire leading to one of the oxygen sensors when your car was up on the lift. Or, if they replaced (or even just checked) your air filter, they may have unplugged the MAF sensor wiring harness. You can get the SES light reset, but unless it was caused by a transient problem it'll come right back on again. Whatever the reason, the important thing is to find out why it came on in the first place so that the root problem can be corrected.

Take it into the dealer to have them run diagnostics.

mines just came on last night, but since my mileage reads 39,500 and my next oil change is due on 40,200 i figured it was that, but now reading you guys problems im doubting, ill just take it str8 to the dealer man, dont take it to no autozone, even less if your car still under warranty

I would highly suggest buying your brakes online, you can get a whole set for under $160 for oem brembo pads.. your dealer will charge you like $600 or more depending on how majorly they are b@stards
