tell them your house set on fire, and it's going to cost $1400 to fix it.
tell them you live in section 8 housing, if they ask.

well they called me back and they were very embarrassed and apologetic...I think he said one of the rings weren't put on correctly. They kept telling me they dont want a bad survey/review so they were very sorry. They'll fix it asap.

you're insurance should cover it. and infinti dealer's should have a 1 year 12000 mile warranty on their parts and labor.

For future reference, if there is a sign in the road and it damages your car. Call and wait for police to get a police report. The municipality where the accident happens is responsible for fixing your car. You can sue the municipality. Might take awhile, but I've had friends who have won. And as posted in another note, insurance would've covered it, minus your deductible.
But sorry to hear that happen to you...

^^^^^I agree^^^^^ That sign shouldn't have been there. You try leaving a hunk of metal in the middle of a busy highway with your name and address on it, guarantee you that the municipality wouldn't hesitate one minute to come look for you and FINE you for putting other motorists in danger.
I've heard of guys blowing out their tires and damaging their rims on potholes. all they would do was take pictures of the pothole, tire, rim and complain to the city about it and they would get reimbursed.
yeah i should have done that....i got a police report so i'm going to try to get it repaired by the turnpike authorities...though i doubt it. anyway it's all fixed again so i hope that's the end of it
