New '06 G35 Coupe 6MT

hey guys i'm about to get an '06 g35 coupe 6mt black on black w/ premium package down here in miami at South Motors Infiniti...i've gotten the guy to come down to $5000 down and $250 (tax included) on a 12 month lease. My question first off, is that a good price? and also, is it gonna be hard to extend the lease at the end of my term?

Wow, where did he start. If you do some basic math that gives you a total out of pocket of $8000= 12 x 250 + 5000 or about $666.67 per month for 12 months. How many miles are you getting. @ 15,000 miles its costs you $0.54 per mile, @ 12,000 miles it cost you $0.67 per mile.

I got 0 down and $700 per month but I am getting 25,000 miles for the year.
So it cost me about $0.34 per mile.

It seems high to me.

Danno - the 2 year lease almost doubles the price of the monthly payments (due to residual)

coolblue - i'm getting 12000 miles per year. are u gonna be extending ur lease at the end of ur term? and yea i know the $5000 is high but it seems to make up for it in the monthly payments. if what u said is correct, then 12000 miles at $0.67 comes out to $8040, which is $40 more than what i'll be paying...but i totally agree, the down payment is pretty high

5000 downpayment is never a good idea due to liability issues with your insurance.

5000 downpayment on a 12 month lease is even a dumber idea.

good luck

Whenever you lease a car put down as little as possible. If something happens to you car and you total it in lets say the second month God forbid. the insurance company will reinburse the finance company for the car but that money you put down is lost. And you will have to go lease another car.
Dont get locked into the monthly payment. If you kept that money in the bank instead. You could afford to pay $666 per month. you pay 250 per month + withdraw 416 per month from the account. 250+416= 666

There are 3 factors you need to determine if you are getting a good deal.

Sale price
residual (what it would cost you to buy the car at the end of the lease)
interest rate (known as the money factor)

Remember you are basically renting the car from the leasing company.

OMG 5000 down on a one year lease?!!? ARE YOU NUTS?! most dealers around here are running a 0-1000 dollar down 12 month lease at 379 a month. Whatever the deal was it was something like 6,340 total out of pocket for the entire year. So for you to put down 5000 and then pay monthly payments puts you at what, twice that number? tell them to go f themselves. thats nuts

You are nuts man...

Simply put... My dad walked in without a single penny, walked out...or should I say drove out with a car.

39 Months , 12K miles/year
$34,500
Absolutely 0 down, 0 out of pocket
First monthly payment paid for by the dealership, I pay 500/month after that. Yeah, 500 may be a lil steep, but I didnt put a single cent down...

My .2 cents (no pun intended)
