Thinking of selling the G - Lost on Pricing...

Hey guys,

I am considering selling my '05 G35, but really don't know how to price it with mods. I would appreciate some advice from you forum members. Her's the scoop:

'05 Silver Coupe
20K Miles - Great Condition
Sport Suspension
LMGT4 18 Wheels
Nismo Rear Deck Spoiler (Black)
Nismo Rear Under Spoiler Pair(Black)
Nismo Rear Under Finisher (Black)
Nismo Sideskirts (Black)
Infiniti Urethane Front Lip (Black)
Nismo Front and Rear Sway bars
Nismo Stainless Brake Lines and Nismo Pads
Nismo Exhaust!
Nismo Lightweight Flywheel
Skyline Step Rails
JDM Battery Cover
Nismo Radiator Cap

With the above mods, my car has the unique look of the 350GT S-Tune. I think its a great looking car, and the mods are all factory made/designed. I live in St Louis, MO., the car was bought and parts installed at Bentley St Louis. Its been very well taken care of, I baby it...

Price research suggests private party prices at 29K-30K stock in good condition. Where would you guys go from here? Where do you try to sell a modded car?

Thanks for any help!

I'm not exactly sure how much those mods are but at the most you cant add that much to it, maybe one or two g's. Reason for this is that if you add more than that, anyone in the right mind would consider going to a dealer and buying a new 06... my advice would be to advertise this on g35 and 350z and other places with your added modded price. If no1 bites then well, you could part it out to make SOMETHING up...

The above mods cost about $10,000 before installation and paint, IIRC. It will not be parted out. Thanks for the input!

the only way you will get a return on your mods is if you part out.
otherwise expect to get kbb/edmunds value, maybe less because its modded. good luck.

With the above parts and as long as the body and interior are in good shape i would say that you could ask atleast $28K and upto $32K....

Here in florida stock ones with 20K miles go for about $27K

Also take into consideration that although everyone says you wont get any return for your upgrades...they are full of ****! If someone is in the market for this car and they want it modded they will pay for it...you wont get full return, but i would say atleast half

Cool

All you have to do....is find ONE person who wants it as it is and is willing to pay you what you want for it. Sounds simple.....

The main problem is, most times, people want to personalize a car with their own mods.

It is generally worth Kelly BB value, with or without mods.

Good luck.

If he gets half, he's doing far better than average. I've known lots of guys who have sold modded cars, and they got anywhere from nothing to 1/4 of what they are worth. Mods typically add nothing to a car's retail value.

You also have to take in to consideration that the car only has 20K miles one. Usually people who sell modded cars have aver 70K miles....All of his parts are basicly brand new

I had a Subaru before the G, and its interesting how STI parts command a premium even on resale, but there is no love for Nismo in the Infiniti community. This stuff was difficult and expensive to get. I'm not trying to get full, or even any, return on the parts, I guess. I would like to point out that there are no engine mods to worry about (unless you count exhaust), and I don't drive it hard.

I appreciate the feedback, and again, the car will not be parted out.

+1

You have a smaller target group who will be looking for a car like yours and of course reliability and history will be questioned. I know it sucks, sorry.
