2006 6 m/t rev

SO I have read through all of this and want to ask because a lot of this thread is for non rev motors. I was thinking of doing this
1) Intake Filter (k&N or something of that caliber)
2) HFC
3) Plenum Spacer
- I guess the 5/16 because I want to keep the engine cover
So, this is the recommendation I have taken away not looking to turbo the car for a while. Does anyone have Rev motor dyno results as to what kind of gain we are looking at?
Also, when you refer the the mrev/mrev2 what are you referring to?
Thanx I am also a newb to G cars but not to cars.

I honestly don't think there's any gain on the 5/16" spacer. But I wouldn't know cause I didn't dyno mine before/after. I noticed more wheel spin, which could, I suppose, mean more power. Gonna take mine to the drags soon and see what I can run with my AT

1. Drop in filter in the stock air box-$40
2. Z tube-$50
3. MD 5/16" spacer-$250
4. High flow cats-$300
5. Exhaust-$800
6. Osiris tune-$550

That's $1900 and the prices I quoted are for new parts. If you shop around and get some, if not all, of these used (except for Osiris) you could possibly get the total down to around $1500 or less depending what exhaust you end up with.

Do all of this and your car will be a whole different animal. I'd also add sway bars to the list if you can afford them. They'll make a huge difference in the handling to go along with your new power.
Would this still be a recommended beginners mod list (I have a 2007 G35S Sedan)? I know it's 2 years later and all.

I think some of that on the list is a waste of $...Enjoy your sedan the way it comes..Plenty of power in the S models...My 2cents...^^^^

Holy crap, a thread from 2006 and I remember reading everything. Now we have stickys that will answer all the questions you have about upgrades to your coupes and sedans. A few things have changed since this thread was started, the quality of what's available has vastly improved from the intakes and exhaust systems to body kits. Who remembers those funky Stillen lips back in '06? Some members bought them....

Hey Gary. Thanks for the heads up. Could you point me to some of the more recent and quality threads regarding beginner mods for an 07 sedan? I've used the search with no luck.

^^^^ Bump

I have been reading about spacers and such for the past hour, but it seems like they were old threads. Would be good to see updates and/or advice from individuals now in 2013!

I think the mods are the best you can do without tearing engine apart. I would get a tune after those mods.I think the sound is similar to F1. I installed a megan oe rs exh sounds better and not loud! Deeper tone. Plus hp gain!

4 years later, any updates to the list or new developments to be explored?
