they say 5/16 is good for gains across the power band and 1/2 is good for high end

5/16 you wont gain as much
1/2 youll lose some low end but gain in high end

5/16 allows you to keep engine cover while 1/2 does not

its all up to you

Best summary of plenum spacers I have heard. Word of the day: CONCISE.

make sure you pay the extra bucks for the ISO thermal spacer not the basic..

Did you run the 1/4 before the mods and after? Dyno?

+1 true dat

techi13 09-19-2006 09:49 PM

completely disagree with HUMMER...

for performance, best mods are
1-light flywheel/clutch
2-pullies

HUMMERH2 09-20-2006 11:58 AM

Tech13 Mods Are Good, But Labor On Those.....hmmmm. Better Of With Mine If U Are In A Tight Budget. Good Mods Though

HUMMERH2 09-20-2006 11:59 AM

14.43 To 14.52sec 1/4 Mile Before Mods.

techi13 09-20-2006 11:43 PM

they may be labor intensive but, aren't we talking about best performance mods???

i bet a G with KnN/z tube, plenum, hfc would get spanked by a G with just a light weight flywheel

I'll take ease of installation any day.....

Flywheel is not a DIY job....

HUMMERH2 09-22-2006 11:39 AM

hmm, maybe I'll get a flywheel when my clutch goes bad. any suggestions and price?

Thanks

I was concerned about altering the sound of my G but making it louder is no problem, thanks for the advice.

Now that is funny.

From all of the various threads I have read about the plenum spacer, it doesn't look like it will do much for our cars without the MREV/MREV2 hand-in-hand.

Can someone clarify? Dynos?
