Best Upgrades For Stock G35's Here you Go...

Ok, Z-tube, K&N drop in filter, plenum, and high flow cats. This is all you need for a stock motor. Stock exhaust will flow perfect until you really start to add hp's under the hood. These modds add a noticeable power gains and the sound is great ! not loud< but louder than stock retaining the stock F1 tone. Dont spend money in other crap. Go for this set up, you will like it !

uhhh what? best mods? thats your opinion buddy

i love my mods i also think mine are the best too! but i am biased of course...

it also depends on what people want exactly before you can title these as the bset mods..

but as long as youre happy with your mods then you have every right to think that those are the best mods. or maybe they are the best mods..for you

I'm new to the G world, but this is really good advice. Intake seems to be the first mod people do and does wonders for the sound. Plenum addresses serious air blockages, and high-flow cats are so good that it's just about as functional as not even having one. Good stuff here

These mods will give you real hp gains unlike intake systems that are not real noticiable gains. these mods are, indeed my opinion, but I think you cant go wroong

oh, sure ahero4eternety....this is my opinion. someone may like 20 inch spinners that wheigh 40lbs a piece and think are a great mod. I posted these mods for guys that want to feel the difference when they buy a performance mod. I run better 1/4 mile times on my g with these mods than i can run with buddy's Z with intake and stillen exhaust. so i thought they were good mods.

just curious, what is your 1/4 mile time with these mods? (not trying to be a smart@$$ here, i really am curious)

and why not test pipes if youre going performance? (again, im honestly curious why you went with hfc's instead of test pipes) too much rasp? smell?

Why do people keep recommending the short ram intake? The CAI actual HP and is not just there for the soundfx. The plenum comes already on the car so I think you mean plenum spacer. You really don't need high flow cats unless you are boosting. Lastly....F1 tone? I love the sound of my G but it has really never been reffered to as an F1 sound. It has been for the most part compared to a dumptruck's sound.

14.38 sec in G35 - 14.45 in buddy's Z. 87 degree in North Atlanta. Shifting at 6,700. These were the best times. 14.3 to 14.4 all day in the G. 29 psi at rear tires.
Didnt want test pipe, do to loud sound. i like to keep the G an elegant sports car. I'm done with hp. mods. going to lower the car about 1 inch, you know which springs will do this/

thanks

Well, I got these mod ideas from CrawfordZ and a local Nissan performance shop. They said the stock intake is plentyful for stock engine
