Long story short i got out of my car and my girl got out. she says "there's a funny sound coming from under your car" so i go to the passenger side and i hear this chattering sound like the heat shield is hitting against something then the radiator fan kicked on and the sound went away. then, while driving i noticed i heard it starting off in 1st gear (when the rpm's dropped a little low) and when i was shifting from 1 -> 2 and 2-> 3 shifts. could this be a loose heat shield? or something else? i have an '06 g coup 6MT with 350 miles on it.

Throughout the day it has only gotten worse. now i can hear it in any gear from 500 - 3000 rpm's. and the passenger can hear it too...

Mine started doing this too a couple days ago... I took it in and they said it was an axle clicking that is common on 05's, theres a TSB about it - not sure about 06's. Should be in and out in a couple hours... either way, take it in and they'll fix it.

errrrr. i did some reading up and lots of searching. i think that i may have the infamous "clutch rattle". as long as the car isn't "messed up" i guess i'll just deal with it. i don't like the idea of someone replacing a perfectly fine tranny/clutch becuase of a little noise.
