Re: MPG

I drive an average of 60 miles each day.
40 of that is highway driving at 65 - 100+mph depending on conditions.

I use 93 octane.
Around town all my shifts are over 3.5K, although most times I skip 5th gear and go from 4th straight to 6th since I've lready reached the legal limit.

I average between 19 - 22 mpg
1500 miles on the car so far and loving every minute of it!

Re: MPG

Just filled my tank for the second time...18.5 mpg. I drive 40 miles a day on some old state roads. I'd expect to be getting at least 20 - 22 after the break-in.

Re: MPG

For some reason I haven't been as lucky. I get 19MPG consistantly (non-synthetic oil), regardless of how hard or easy I am on the gas pedal. That's pretty bad. I am thinking of getting it checked out by the dealer... I'd be happy with 22. Should I take it to the dealer?

Re: MPG

I've had my 6mt for a month now and I'm still only getting 14-15 MPG, mostly in the city and being easy on the throttle; never have I floored it and I usually shift around or under 3K, occasionally 3.5-4K. I'm only a tad over 800 miles, but I'm getting impatient about this cr*ppy mileage pretty fast!

Re: MPG

this post is both mpg related and coupe related. my daily driver is about off lease. that left me with a 4 cyl pickup as my daily driver. but with kids, etc... a pickup without a backseat isn't family car. i also didn't want to make my coupe a real family car, where kids eat in it, have dirty football and soccer uniforms. i am also starting a new job 50 miles away.

so,
traded in my pickup for a nissan sentra, should get about 34 mpg with it. it's engine is about half the size as the g with a fraction of the pickup. it's also my first automatic a quite a while.

i miss my truck.
