Be careful what you wish for my friend. I've lived in New England my whole life, and it SUCKS. You might think snow would be cute every now and then, but wait until you get your first 3 foot storm and you have to shovel your *** out of it! Oh, and then there's the FREEZING cold for 4 months of the year...

I hate it in New England. But everytime I try to move, my job offers me more money!!!

Only 6-8" snow all winter where I am in NM, so snow tires aren't even needed. We use my wife's SUV for trips up into the mountains and for those few days when travel might be a problem.

I tried to move back home, on the East Coast, presumably MD, but it is hard to give up Sunny Calif. Maybe someday, but there is no other place in the world like SoCal. Just ask the Beach Boys ala "Calif Girls" song.

my G stays in the garage when there is snow on the ground. i have a toyota tacoma TRD for the winter months and other truck-like duties. i'll bust out the G only when the roads are clear in the winter.

one thing that i dont think was stressed enough - if you are going to drive your G in the winter BUY SNOW TIRES. i was unfortunate to get stuck out in the snow one day on my old tires (pilot sports) and couldnt even get up my driveway in about 1" of snow. tires can have a HUGE affect on the amount of traction you get. driving in ANY frozen precipitation on z-rated tires will put you in a ditch or at the bottom of a hill (stuck) real quick.

I can only imagine how **** poor our Michilin Pilotsports are in ice/snow, given that they don't grip for crap even in 35 degree weather. Step on the throttle any more than halfway in sub-35 temperatures below 25 MPH in 1rst or 2nd gear and your tires are spinning like hell.

Get a winter beater if you can afford it, that's my biggest suggestion.
