Red face noob question-clear corners

ok, b4 u flame, hear me out:

i know how to install them.
i know which clear corners to get.
lol

my questions are these:
1.) how often does chad have them for sale? he seems to have them for the cheapest ($28.00 on ebay vs. $34.50 on mynismo.com)
2.) i know the led size is 194/168. so i went to vleds.com but i don't understand what the second (168) number is for. there are several different
194-sized leds, which one should i get? the inverted cone, 4 led, 5 led refractor, 6 led, 6 led large, or high power? do all of those work on the g35 corner light socket?

-thanks for ur help

the answer is yes and no

yes if they are not amber leds
no if they are amber leds

don't worry about it. I have clear corners with red leds in them.. been pulled over a couple times and gotten away scottfree.. never said a thing about them

You can use white LED with no problems at all. I have white in mine and never even get a 2nd look... The colors that are illegal are red and blue since they are reserved for emergency vehicles.

awesome, thanks for the replies, but my 2nd question has yet to be more sufficiently answered... the ebay ones are a pretty good idea.. but i'd rather get them from vleds.com where i know that the leds they sell are reliable because a lot of people have gotten their leds from that site.... so which one to get? and what does 168 mean in reference to led lights?

any 194 bulb will fit. 194 and 168 are different names for the same bulb

well i bought a few at a time and kept some extras. i installed the first set and 5 weeks later they started to flicked. but by this time the warranty was up. then i stuck in the extra ones and now they are flickering again.

i have these vleds in the tails, domes, and license plate lights and those all work fine still. had those on for about 3 months or so.

just the side markers keep going out.

You have to have amber turn signals. Since they arent signals (unless you did the blinker mod), pure white lights are legal.

BUT

You may have passed the lighting test, you fail the reflector test. There must be an orange reflector in the front corners of your car, and the blinker in the headlights dont count as orange reflectors. You can get ticketed for that since they are clear and no longer reflectors.

from the chp website:

"Illegal color of side marker lights. If present, must be yellow in the front and red in the rear (25106, 24003 VC)."
