Ivory Pearl fades?

I'm planning on getting an ivory pearl g35c really soon. however, i've been hearing that the color might fade into a yellowish color. Is this true and does constant sun exposure cause this problem? peepz w/ IP please respond.

Re: Ivory Pearl fades?

I have had mine for 6 months and see no difference at all.
To soon to tell I guess, but I highly doubt it.

Re: Ivory Pearl fades?

I am (a little) concerned about this also. Do you park it outside on a daily basis?

obviously, this doesn't apply to people who have a nice comfy garage for their G, and only drive on weekends. how many people use it as their daily driver and park out in the harsh sun?

Daily driver under the sunny S. CAL sun. Have the IP G coupe since Nov. 02'. Polish and wax about 5 times since. No fading issue . At least not yet .

Re: Ivory Pearl fades?

I've had my G for 8 Months, no fading at all. What does fade a little yellow is my clear bra. I had it installed from the dealer when i bought the car, it has faded a tad.

Re: Ivory Pearl fades?

My Ivory Pearl is eight months old and there is no fade, it gets parked in the sun all day at work and gets a respid in the afternoon at home ( if I'm not out and about)

Re: Ivory Pearl fades?

I saw early IP sedans with mismatched bumpers sitting on the lot. Think 94-98 white maximas, same look. However, they must have corrected this issue in early 03 because I dont see them like that anymore.

We've had our IP 2k Pathfinder for 4 years. No color change and lots of sun exposure.

Re: yes it does get fade

I have 2001 Pearl white maxima and after two years, the color did change "a bit" If you do get this color then:
1) Don't clean your car too often
2) When you get into a minor or major accident, its hard to match the paint for sure or If you are planning to get a Body kit, the color will look different as well....
