Exclamation got a new 06 6mt, messed up with launch, burnt clutch?, sever smell, sqeeking, HELP

hey guys,

i know alot of people posted about this but i need some direct help because im a paranoid fukc.

i just finished breaking in my car, 1000miles, and i wanted to finaly have fun, so:

i launched my car today in first. for some reason (common prob) my clutch got stuck when i full took my foot off it. Not noticing that my clutch wasnt disengaged, i was flooring the gas for 10 seconds.

i realized i was burning the clutch, so i pulled over and shut off my car.
a sever burning of oil smell filled my cabin and the outside of my car.

i drove the car home and it smelt up the whole block, even my neighbors complained. an hour later i took the car around and the smell came back when the car was idleing, it feels that my clutch is now much smoother and my friction point altered. (is this all in my head)

i will see in the morning if the smell is gone but i am extremly worryed, i know i burnt some life off my clutch, but how do i know as to how much, how can i check my clutch's remaining life.

also i noticed that now when i coast around 10mph i heare a squeeking rubing noise coming from my rear pasenger side axle or wheel (not clicking).. wat the hell is this coming from?

If you only have 1000 miles on it... it shouldnt be that damaged from your mistake. But then again flooring it for 10 seconds while its engaged is a b!tch for the clutch.

Try this:

Go around 5-10 mph, shift to 5th, and floor it. If it engages then your fine. But if your rev meter goes crazy and doesnt lock, then your screwed.

ya well i woke up this morning and there was no smell, it felt fine and i was on my way. as soon as i started driving aggresivly, the smell came back...

when i got on the hwy it seemed fine but as soon as i down shifted the car reeked.

it seems to drive fine, i put it into 5th gear at 15mph and the revs were stable just the car had no pick up at all.

this smell is killing me wat the hell is going on, what do i do

The smell is not going to quickly go away. You burned a good portion of your clutch and over time the stench will go away. Have no worries, clutches arent that expensive, its the labor that will get ya, so I guess in all, yeah they are a pretty penny. Next time be more careful, and realize what you are doing. It wasnt your fault that the clutch got stuck halfway (which isnt THAT uncommon among the forums) but you should know your car by now and should of known the clutch wasnt engaged completely. As of now, dont do hard launches for a while and 'break-in' the section that you glazed.

Yea im not sure but i know i hear that squeak to every single time i release the clutch, i dont think its anything wrong because i've never ragged on my car much at all. So i wouldnt worry about it unless you have reason to believe otherwise.

The squeek your hearing is your rear axle. There is a TSB for that

Don't stress too much bro. I get a slight burnt clutch smell just going up my driveway. I have to go up at an angle cuz of how low my G is so I have to kinda feather the clutch sometimes. If I don't do it just right, I get that slight burnt clutch smell. My 05 did the same thing too. That's just the G clutch for you.
