Was wondering if there are any New Orleans G35 owners who have taken there car to Ray Brandt Infiniti to get there clutch looked at? I have a feeling that my clutch/pressure plate might need to get replaced and was wondering if the dealer serviced it under warranty or not?

Thanks,

Hey man someone else from the Big Easy

I do take mine to Ray Brandt. I have had excellent service from them. I have only once had them look at my clutch because it was squeaking some. They didn't hear it but lubed the cable and it seemed to solve the problem.

I am not certain what they will do in your situation but it's always worth a shot. They have been more than fair everytime I visited.

I usually deal with the Tim in the service dept. and he is a great guy to deal with.

BTW... What year/color do you have? I've noticed more G35s on the streets lately but it doesn't seem that many of them frequent the site.

Good luck!

I actually hate that dealership. John was my service guy one time and he was an ***. I made sure he got a zero for the survey. I go to the one in Baton Rouge now.

Interesting. I've always had Tim as my service advisor (I think that is what they call them) and he was more than helpful.

I hope that it doesn't change because BR is no where near as convenient for me as Causeway is.

Can you elaborate on what happened that made you decide to go out to BR instead? Did you speak with anyone else at Ray Brandt to help you resolve the issue?

Re:
I have an 04' DG MT Coupe with only 30,000 miles.

The reason for asking....is because I have noticed that some members on this forum have gotten their clutch/tranny/etc...... replaced under warranty......and some do not. Does it differ from dealership to dealership?

Ray Brandt is ok. They once scratched my new 19 inch oem rim while replacing it. However they made up for it by having a guy fix it though. We have a decent community in the New Orleans area...wow. Hey guys post a pix of your cars.

There must be a crapload of water-damaged G35's over in N.O from Katrina.

Anyone on here have any issues with that?

It seems true that some dealers are much more willing to perform warranty work while some are hesitant.

I've paid close attention to my tranny too, as it seems to grind sometimes. I may bring this up next time I visit them.

Yeah I am glad to see the New Orleans area folks finally showing up on the forum. I wondered where they had been.

I work down here but live on the Northshore. My 04 coupe is basically stock except for tinted windows. It is Desert Platinum. I'll have to take some recent pics to share.

I bought mine last November but there was NO way I was going to get one from this area. I picked mine up in Atlanta and did a thorough check to be certain that is where it had been.

The drive home was fun, to say the least.

Nola
I did buy my G35 at ray brandt, but I have used the B.R. infiniti dealership and they cross threaded my Brembo caliper. But it has come to a stale mate. But they are extremely curtious I'll give them that. I have been pretty irate in the lobby and the service manager has always handled it well. I have chaulked it up to an expensive life lesson.

Things they can do: change oil

things they can't do: balance wheel, Aliighnments, anything dealing with brembo brakes, install anything aftermarket, service anything aftermarket including NIZMO products.
