i just got in an accident... front bumper all f'ed up, cracked... grill in 30 pieces... hood bent up, cant even open it... fenders all outta place in order to obsorb the impact... internal fiber glass all broken up... intake duct behind the grill ended up between the hood n the engine...

this is 1st time i ever hit an "object" w/ any of my cars... i really do have bad luck w/ this coupe... owning it for 5 months now... 2 ppl hit me (front right, front left), some **** keyed every single body panel of my car... now this... car infront of me came to a sudden stop... i couldnt avoid it or brake in time... i admit it was my fault even the person who i hit admited guilty for stopping like that...

i denno just no point in this post but yeah... im just so f'in tired of sending the car to the shop, dealing w/ ppl, insurance... y cant i just drive it like every1 else w/ out problems... ALWAYS... something has to happen to the car...

oh yeah... since the body shop has to get a new front bumper... can i tell them to get after market bumper (like nismo) if its costs less than or equal to OEM front bumper?

ouch, might i suggest selling it and getting another G35 coupe, it might be cursed, you never know hahahaha

Just curious. How close were you driving to this car that you rear ended him and did that much damage? We all drive to close sometimes and if you are even slightly distracted this can be the result. It's a hard lesson to learn. I just hope they don't sue you for whiplash, which seems to be the rage these days.

I just got my coupe out of the shop because a tailgater rear ended me when I was stopping at a red light. Unlike you though, she blamed me for not running the light. This is the third car in a row of mine that has been rear ended. My Lexus got it twice. It's a problem.

I hope this makes you feel better-- I smashed my front end ($7,500). When I got it back, it looked better than new. The paint actually was a whole lot better than the original factory paint. That was the only positive out that whole thing. Sorry to hear about you accident. Good Luck.

That sounds like something my wife would say. I know accidents happen everyday, but why does it seem that G's have been involved so much lately? I know winter is coming up, and I'm afraid the news will be worse. Take it easy guys!

But anyway I hear you dude, I had a similar experience with my Honda Accord I rear ended somebody on a highway when he came to a sudden stop because somebody just had to get into his lane and he had to go into mine. The guy was cool there was no visible damage on his car and mine. The guy I rearended did the same to the person in front of him also so I was the last of the 3 involved. I got away clean from it although the guy did try to pull some wiplash bull. But since the damage was way greater between the 2 first cars than between the 2 rear ones he couldnt say squat. Lol it was an all honda accident. But anyway the thing that saved me was the fact that I always stay behind at least a 1.5 car lenghts. The thing I am concerned with is the person behing me, I know I can outbrake most of the cars on the road and still play it safe. But sometimes there is just no way you can avoit somebody in a piece of sh*t car following you 2 inches behind and slamming into you. If that happens to my G I might go to jail for a while, lol, I will become the hulk and do some serious damage to that person. Some people just cant drive. Like for example slowing down while merging onto a highway instead of trying to outrun the person in the merging lane. Dumb asses!

i wasnt driving close to the car... it happend after a corner... the car in front of me came to a sudden stop after the turn... while i was cornering behind, i couldnt c the car... after going thro the turn, what u know... car infront was only few feet away from me... stopped...

it would have been a minor damage to my coupe, if his bumper came in contact w/ my bumper, but his bumper collided the area, where our grill would sit... we all know that there is nothing behind the grill to obsorb the impact... this ended up smashing the grill into pieces, smashing up the fiber glass suport behind, bending up the hood n etc...

his car was fine... few scratches that all... but my baby? yeah...

 

I had a similar experience with my sedan a few months ago [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img] When you get it back, though, it'll be better than new!
