Anyone Shipped rims before?

Im trying to sell my 18" Oem coupe rims and was wondering if anyone has shipped something this big before? Who should I go through(ups usps fedex etc.) and how much it roughly costs? I live in Seattle,WA so im guessing farthest anyone will want is maybe Florida...

Who did you ship with? And what materials did you use?

I shipped rims with tires twice. First time I was shipping 17s and went to UPS, which charged me about $55 per rim and tire. Than I was shipping 18s, and my friend told me to just put cardboard circles on each side of the rim, big enough to cover the rim and most of the tire, and just tape around or tie it with a string. Went to FedEx and they charged me $15 per rim and tire. That was few years ago, but would definitely do that again. Good luck.

how about going to one of those i sold it on ebay stores and let them deal with it. you will lose out on some of the dough but i bet it would be a hell of a lot less headaches.

OEM 18 w/tires = 65lb
4) 26x26x12 box @$9.00 ea.
Farthest I've sent was half state which is about $45 each
Shipping without a box will not make it easy on them as they can roll , hit, and drop which will cause damage. I only charge the other person $150 for shipping and have to suck up the rest as I need to get rid of them.

I've shipped wheels often with this method. I also add some padding inbetween the carboard and teh wheel face to prevent scratching/rub marks.

FedEd was by far the cheapest. I sent some heavy arsed 18s with tires for about $160 total last year. Each wheel/tire weighs about 52-54lbs each.

Let me know if you need advice. I used strapping tape. It's way stronger than that thin wrapping tape. Duct tape could also be used.

I think I see your wheels on Craigslist. hehe
