Stock Alarm

Is it possible to have the alarm in Silent Mode with the blinking lights when unlocking? Anyone?

I think I read a thread previously about holding both the lock and unlock button to toggle between sound and no sound.

I'm aware of the toggle w/the control.

Stock settings:
Sound Mode
Arm = Two blinks and a horn
Disarm = One blink and a horn

Silent Mode
Arm = Two blinks
Disarm = NOTHING (This is what I'm referring to - Solution Needed???!!!)

Thanx for all the replies so far.

No solution here either, mine only blinks once when unlocking with no sound. Did you get your car brand new? Maybe it's not the stock system...

I guess I'm not clear or something. I want to be able to unlock my car using the stock alarm and get some kind of confirmation without any horn sound. I want the outside lights to blink at least once but with no sound of the horn. The outside lights currently blink twice when locking with no sound of the horn.

I drive an 05 cpe fully loaded slightly used from the dealer if it makes any difference.

Ps. Thanx for the additional replies. I've already read those threads but I see no clear solution. I've also used the search function. Electrical guru please chime in.

I guess someone w/ an '05 coupe will have to help you. I have an '06 coupe and mine does that. When I hit the unlock button the lights blink once and no sound. Have no idea what you're encountering. The only time the horn sounds is when I lock it. NEVER during unlock.

Maybe take it back to the dealer if it's a stock alarm system. Sounds like yours is exactly backwords of everyone elses. Maybe something is wired backwords or shorted.
