Exclamation 07 Coupe less powerful than the 07 Sedan ?

Based on what I read recently, the 07 Sedan has in excess of 300hp, a new version of the engine, updated exterior, superior interior, new navigation system (touch, real traffic information, etc). Unless I'm wrong on this, the 07 Coupe is pretty much .... UNCHANGED, which means that it has less horse power, inferior navigation system, etc. So, is indeed a Coupe less performant than a Sedan for the 2007 model ?

ahhh I usually hate to say this but.... SEARCH!!!

The sedan came out in 02, the coupe in 03.

Therefore the new sedan is coming in 06, the coupe in 07.

Ofcourse this means the 06 sedan has more power than the 06 coupe since you are comparing an old to a new generation.

OK, I'll play along with this one. First, this is a forum and as such, people like to ask questions and hopefully, will get some good answers. Yes, he could use the search function on THIS forum, but I have to admit, it isn't all the great (alot of times, it isn't even good). Searching for certain things (hopefully, it won't be anything with just three letters, e.g. CAI, HID, LED, etc.) will yield you nothing.

Now, the OP did ask a really good question and I think a legit one. Yes, he could have use Google to search for the answer but he was hoping to get a GOOD answer here, since we do own the G.

So, I think I will have to side with JCLIT on this one. What is the point of coming to a public forum that caters to a certain crowd and asking a question to only get "Go Google it" or "Search it, it has been covered many times here". Granted, if the answer is within the first few pages and very common (e.g. "My axle is making this clicking noise"), then I say he/she should have seen it or you can say "search it". Well, that's just MHO.

BTW, I didn't know this about the Sedan and Coupe. I thought the 03 Sedan and the 03 Coupe came out the same time, just a few months apart (like the 05 Sedan and Coupe).

Yes the 07 sedan will be faster. Its a 2nd generation sedan, what do you expect? When the new generation coupe comes out, in its speculated release of either spring of 07 or summer of 07 as an 2008 model, it will be different story. Hold your horses tho....its gonna be sick!

Thanks for everybody's response (next time I'll try to do a search before asking a question !). I like a lot the responsiveness of this forum and I do appreciate the information in whatever "tone" it comes in (we all have different styles and I've learned to adapt !).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new 07 Coupe (I hear there's a new Toyota Supra in the works which will do the 0-60mph in the 4's !).

The 07 coupe is going to be the same as the 06 coupe.

how stupid are people?? The 07 sedan is the redesign. 07 coupe is just the next year for the coupe before redesign. Not rocket science

aren't some of the people giving this guy crap, the same people who, a very short time ago, made threads on things like, "hey, why is my rev light always on?! lol!" and "how do I launch the G? I want to lose to my friend's SRT-4! LOL!" shortly to be followed by "HELP!! Clutch needs to be replaced and dealer won't cover it! SuxX0rz!"

i guess it happens to everyone.

and oh yeah... REPOST! LOLZ!!111
