Im just curious but when anyone launches there car a little hard were it gets some wheelspin is it normal to have wheel hop. Because seriosly my car just started doing this the other day and i dont remember this ever happening before.

Yes, it's typical. It's common with IRS cars.

The trick is to feed in just enough throttle to keep the revs up while feathering out the clutch - easier said than done.

I've always gotten wheelhop on launches, but I'm starting to notice it on hard 1>2 and 2>3 shifts.

Wheel spin yes, but wheel hop is completely different and it shouldn't be happening. It usually only really happens with ff cars. If you have suspension work done you definitely need to re-tune everything.

He means front wheel drive, front engine cars.

But there are plenty of RWD cars the experience wheel hop; ours, for one(including the z), as well as the cobra.

Got Hop.................?

Not me.........3rd gear scratch straight as an arrow.
It might have something to do with poor quality tires
breaking loose and causing wheel hop or tire pressure being to high. (40lbs +) When I had my
Volks installed they wanted to put 40lbs in my tires.
I told them NFW, 37lbs is all I need!

im starting to have a feeling that the incosistant wheel hop im getting from my car has to do with the weather getting colder....because like i said sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt.
