G35 with a GT-R engine

I am thinking about buying a 03-04 G35 coupe....in cash buyout..My thought was to engine swap it with a gt-r engine when they come out in 2008...my question is will the engine gt-r fit? my thought is that it will..will i need to change my whole transmission, clutch etc..is this a good idea for a project..im thinkin this would be a good sleeper!

Opinions needed postive or negative

seems like it would be a lot easier and cheaper to just build the g35 engine up and put a twin turbo setup on it... and it would probably push out a lot more hp if built right. Look at the VRT cars, those things are monsters. Just my opinion though.

you could be one of the very few with the 4.5L V8 with TT stuffed inside your future coupe.

And the best part is, you could be done by 2008!

Also, it'll probably be cheaper than that 3.8L TT.

But good luck, whatever you do.

I'm thinking SOMEONE will do it eventually. Enough money and time, combined with the desire to add a "GT-R" badge to the "SKYLINE" on the trunk..... yeah, I can see someone doing it JUST to be different.

Good luck if you actually manage to get the resources/parts to try and pull it off. And if you do, it's the rule of G35driver.com to post as many pics as possible of it when it happens! I notice everyone agrees that pictures of cars, especially customised/modded ones are a MUST

It's probably just gonna be a built VQ35HR engine, maybe VQ37HR with more head work done. Wait till you can get one from a wrecked sedan, get an APS twin turbo kit, then you just gotta worry about the transmission. People have done the 4.5L V8 swap and I don't think this would be as difficult.

Certainly do-able imo.

sure with enough money, with enough money you can drop a Bugatti Veyron engine in a g35, but that'd be just retarted!
