My first couple of days with the G

I won't bored everyone with posts on my new G every other day, but I thought I'd share the first couple of days of it.
Since taking delivery Saturday morning, I've driven it over 200 miles, about 100 of it with 3 passengers in the car. Part of the 200 miles were driven in slight rain. I've also let my wife drive it for about 20 miles. This morning I found bird crap on the hood after getting out of church. I guess it's safe to say I haven't come close to babying it other than strictly following the break-in instructions.
The thing is, this car is so awesome I want to put mega miles on it. At the same time, I don't want to wear it out too soon. So, in short, I'm VERY happy to be an owner of a G35 coupe. And I'm glad to have found such a helpful and civil forum to discuss this car.

The first 2 weeks I owned mine I took it out for about an hour or so, usually 50 miles, every night. We all know what you're going through.

Re: My first couple of days with the G

This weekend was my first weekend I really got to drive the 'G' and enjoy it, even though I took delivery last friday (17th) because my **** self wanted to make sure I had 4 coats before I exposed the car too much to the "elements"

2 coats of Z5, then 2 coats of Z2 (used ZFX)

Daniel G,

Is your color Twilight Blue with Willow interior? I would like to get a TB with either Willow or Graphite interior. Still haven't finalized my choice yet. Do you have more pics?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention I almost got ran off the highway by this crazy chick on Sunday afternoon. I had to pull an emergency lane change manuver (lucky no one was on my left:P) to avoid being hit on the right side by this POS Pontiac. She basically tried to change into my lane while being right next to me. The Chick was talking on the phone and had the nerves to stare at me after the incident. I was pissed!
Anyway, not a good way to checkout the reflexes of the G but I guess at least I can say nothing bad happened.

No. I guess the picture isn't the greatest quality. It is black with willow interior. I bet TB with willow would look sweet. That kind of color with a willow is a sweet combination. I have a friend that has a Navy blue metallic SS camaro with Tan interiror, so that same type of combo would look sweet on the G

Re: My first couple of days with the G

I've had my car for 1 week now and yes I'm pretty happy with this color combo. By the way, I'm already past breakin and now have over 1400 miles on the car!

Now the REAL driving can begin...

Twilight Blue/Willow, Nav, Aero, 6MT, Clearbra, Tint, Sirius...

I'm at 870 after 2 whole weeks...I cant wait to drive it again.

I find myself passing my house 2,3,4...times before I finally pull in the driveway.
