WHY??

Re: WHY??
The exhausts (cans) are the same, besides the fact that the pipes are longer on the G than the Z's to get to the rear (which in my opnion actually gives the G a more melow tone).
The intake tube on the G is designed to be QUITER than that of the Z's, since the G is a "luxury-end sports car". Thats the reasoning to all the clutter vs the Z's tube. Does the Z tube procude more power, I guess it could? 7 more ponies, I doub't that....
If you ask me, I agree in that Nissan didn't want to slap the Z in its face with giving the G identical HP figures. Both cars ARE THE SAME POWER WISE! If there's any advantage, its that the Z weighs a tab bit less, and its my opnion once again - that's it....

Re: WHY??
How much less does the Z weigh? I ask this cause there is this kid that I sort of know that has a Z and first he goes all off on how the Z is more powerful then he is trying to tell me that the Z is 1000 lbs. less than the G. I think/Know he's full of it. But what is the actuall weight advantage. Pretty soon I'm gonna have to do a Crawford and Exhaust, then smoke him to shut his A$$ up. Ignorance is Bliss.

Re: WHY??
The weighs of the vehicles depends on how you equip them. The 350Z has 7 more hp and 100-200lbs less weight. That translates to a 0.1 second difference to 60mph (5.4 seconds vs 5.5 seconds). I have just heard that the 350Z feels edgier and more willing than the G35C due to its weight loss.
