Hello All,

Is the 05 and 06 G35s MT6 have the same front bumper? If not, what part did it change? I'm trying to get front lip for my 06 MT6 but I'm not sure it will fit since it says "for 03-05"!!!

unless you have an 06 sport package, 03-05 lips will fit.

 

06 sports bumper is slightly indented in the middle at the bottom of the bumper and it actually has a slight lip which curves out(away from the wheels).

The other bumpers curves inwards(toward the wheels) at the bottom of the bumper

if you have an 06 6mt then there is only ONE lip that will fit (to my knowledge). PM member Klumzyee as he has that data lip modified to fit your 06 sport bumper.

however, if you have an 06 5at non sport then your bumper is exactly like the 03-05 in which case and 03-05 lip will fit.

but i think you mentioned you have an 06 6mt which does have a sport bumper...

what color is your g and where are you located? i have a dg non sport bumper (any 03-05 lip will fit) from my 06 coupe that i am willing to trade you in addition with some case.

 

listen people, unless he has the sport package, the standard front coupe bumper is exactly the same as the 03-05. the sport package bumper has an integrated lip, but he standard coupe bumper (even with an aero package) has the same cover as the previous model years.

edit: so the question is "do you have the sport package?". hint-is there orange stitching on your stearing wheel?

okay...let me try to break it down..
a) 06 6mt - sport bumper
b) 06 5at w/ sport package - sport bumper
c) 06 5at w/out sport package - same bumper as 03-05

if you have option A or B then there is only one lip available (to my knowledge) for you. you can get it from Klumzyee

if you have option C then any lip that fits the 03-05 bumper will fit yours

btw, thats probably the best way to tell if someone has the sport package on an 06 (the orange stitching). also, the side skirts are different.

True in the US but in Canada all '06 coupes have the sport bumper

I have a sport package on my MT6 because this car comes with orange stitching stearing wheel, 19" wheels, sport suspension and I assume my front bumper would be difference as well.

Man, I'm going to have some trouble finding exact fit lip.

yeah, like hero said, so far there is only one being made. i'm sure hero will tell you to search and then find it for you.

 

you can get a modified version of the data systems lip from Klumzyee. if im not mistaken, he is the only one that has a lip made for the 06 sport bumper.
