i apologize

This thread is not to be meant to be a sales point............

fact or fiction I could close my windows by holding the lock button on the keyfob down greater than 2 sec and the windows would close...

Now it doesn't work...I think it's because I changed the battery on the keyfob....

not very hard at all
install typically takes 45 mins or so.
there is a great diy on g35frenzy.com but the site is down until sunday.

basically you take the door panel off and then follow the instructions found here:
http://www.boostedconcepts.com/docs/...stallation.pdf

and connect the wires from the kptech module to the wires in the car. give in the wire guide found here:
http://www.boostedconcepts.com/docs/...wire_guide.pdf

let me know if you have anymore questions
we also have a module that lets you control the sunroof with your remote keyfob

it wont

you can only roll them up from the remote if you have kptech mod in the car. or you can roll them up by puttin the key in the cylinder and turning to the lock position and holding it there til the roll up

Stop hijacking my thread and sell your mod somewhere else. Either that or put me on the pay role!

dude im not hijackin your thread
im just giving the truth. you can not roll them up with the remote without an aftermarket part. FACT dont believe me check every service manual you can find its not possible
someone asked about install and i answered.
all im doing is offering correct information.

alright

I'm just frustrated because I bought this car new from Grubbs Infiniti and it had the feature. It was nice, beause here in Dallas the storms come up quick and I could close my windows when I saw the rain coming from inside the office. Now after two battery changes to the keyfob, it doesn't work?? I understand from your position it's impossible because it wasn't a stock option, but it was working with my vehicle...

I apologize for the outburst.......but you know a kick back due to my thread would be alright!

No

Don't end this.

Has anyone else had the option of closing your windows with the key fob?

the final answer is NO it is not standard and whether or not you were dreaming or not we'll never know.. but if you did remember seeing it work then chances are like others have mentioned, you have an aftermarket part installed WITHOUT your knowledge. Or for the sake of arguing that you dont have an aftermarket part installed and that you werent dreaming, then the last possibility I can think of is that infiniti messed up on your particular vehicle in allowing this feature (although not really a bad thing huh) haha. But if you're out to find out why it doesnt work anymore you wont find the answer because 99% of the ppl out there without the kptech will not have this feature. Anyways good luck.

This feature does not come stock on G35s. It's definately a safety issue. Not just for Infiniti, but any production car in North America. Cars in Europe, and Japan have this feature, but North America has more sticter regulations I guess on this. Cool feature though, but you'll never see it stock.

Interesting

Quite interesting.

I've got co-workers who will vouche for the feature, but it's just interesting that no one else can say they've seen this on a stock vehicle. Thank you all for your inputs. I'll have to dig a bit deeper to find the merits to this discussion. If anyone has seen or heard of this being on a stock vehicle, please come forth.

Jamie
