it could be a fluke from the assembly line. Not every single car that comes off the factory floor will be 100% identical. Just be glad you can do that. As for the moment i can't even roll my windows down with my stock key fob
...Maybe some wires got disconnected. I have to check this week when i get my window motor changed. Again
'04 fully loaded here too. No luck rolling the windows up just with the keyfob. I once opened it and then held the close button for 2 minutes, and the windows did not move up. My cousin with 2001 BMW 540i could open his windows and the sunroof and close all windows and a sunroof just using a keyfob from far away.
Jamie, maybe you should take apart your door, see if the module is there and solve this mystery once and for all.

I wish I knew what it was that I did that disabled the feature. I've changed the battery on the key fob twice now. I believe after the first battery replacement that the feature still worked, but I can't verify that. What was nice was going into the hot car after work, rolling down the windows to let the heat out, starting the car, kicking the AC on and then being able to roll the windows up from inside the office to allow the AC to cool down the car.
I also talked with a few people at Grubbs and so far no one says that it was an option that I should have. At least two other people have said that their cars had this feature. Thank GOD I'm not delusional! After numerous persons suggesting it, you begin to wonder......

i dont think the window would roll up from the factory... cause then, lawsuits would be popping up all over the place. kids sticking their head thru the window to check out the car, u didn't bother to look and roll ur window up and kids chokes to death...
or some shlt like that.

keyfob
I'd at least suggest everyone to try the key fob. What do you have to lose? But, please don't choke any kids! With the windows in a down condition, just hold the keyfob lock button down for >2secs. Mine worked for a year and now doesn't.

I read through this thread yesterday but I don't remember, did you buy this car new?
