the sidemarkers arent that bad man... just leave it alone. and yes its illegal to remove them. would you get ticketed for it? depends if the cops really care.

side markers also serves as reflectors. some cars don't have side markers only because there turn signals surves its purpose by acting as a reflector.

 

i hate it without sidemarkers now that i see it... idk why can someone photoshop a picture of a black one pleaseeee =-)

 

By law (in certain states) you need a "yellow/amber" reflector in the front of your car. So yes it is illegal in some states but if you do it cleaning.. no ones ever going to know

as for the existing clear corner wire.. just tape up the end tape it up against the fender =)

most cars out there, there headlamps include a sidemarker....... the g35 is different. headlight doesnt have reflectors..

on my integra, i switched my amber lens to some cheap azz clear corners and got a warning the very next day by a cop saying that the reflectors on the stock lamp are there for a reason. and i should put the stock one back one.

and to recap...yes it is illegal to not have amber reflectors, but seriously though...our side markers are so freaking far towards the front of the car, its almost pointless to have them. but what are the odds that a cop, that pulls you over, know that the G35 is suppose to have side markers. just seal it up and make it look like nothing was ever there.

oh...BTW Calvin...i'm filling in those holes tomorrow...i just bought the stuff i need.

 

^^i think its legal to have clear corners but when they light up they must be amber. which is why they give us amber bulbs.

as for reflectors, i think they all have to be amber..right?

on my mustang i had before the G i removed the amber side marker and never once had a problem, and i cant see why a cop would notice on the G if its a clean cover up

I'm with Hero on this one.
The JDM clears come with amber bulbs.
Your USDM are amber lens with clear bulbs.

Now clears with white bulbs...idk. But they're not turn signals.
Turn signals, one way or another, must be amber.
Look at VW's. They run with clear markers on their fenders, OEM....legal, but their turn signals are amber lenses.
We don't have turn sigs on our sides.

I'd say fill the side marker in. It looks clean without.

 

I just spray painted mine black and tucked the bulb in so it wouldnt light up. It looks really sick and to the guy with the 03 OB definently spray paint it black it looks really clean. Worse comes to worse and you dont like it which i doubt just paint thinner it.
