Every time i race a car i feel like g35's are slower i got beat by a ss cobalt last night the supercharged ones with bolt on's and tune ??? WTF !! i loose to evos, sti's and neons WTF, I have cold air intake, itake manifold and full exhaust and i lose !! WTF

 

i don't know about the cobalt, but i'm not surprised you lose to the rest. They are all boosted and easy to get power out of with a downpipe, exhaust, and tune/ecu/chip. evo's and sti's are crazy fast, not to mention they are awd so they'll beat you from a dig depending on the driver. neon is still goin to be a neon.

 

Your mods aren't nearly enough to take down those FI-equipped cars. The biggest problem you face with only a NA set-up is the power to weight ratio. Those other cars are featherweights compared to our G's, and with that kind of boost under the hood you'll probably get beat 9 times out of 10.

and your mods, especially the cai lol, arent doing anything/enough for you

I Have the greddy tt kit and cams i spet over 15K worth of parts i am waiting for it to be installed but its just depressing to lose to some of these cars I need to get more info about the 4.5tt swap. has anyone made the Gcoupe awd

 

why is it depressing? so what if other cars are faster? there will always be faster cars out there. and im surprised that you were surprised when you got beat by and sti, evo, and neon..

 

You should not have bought a G35 coupe if you are out looking for a street race. These cars are in the "near-luxury" class. That means 50 year old ladies drive around in them. I see them all the time. Sucks to have to spend $15K in aftermarket to compete with cars priced 10K less off the showroom floor.

 

Whats even worse is when you see a 60 year old lady driving a s65 amg right next to you and know that they can beat you even though your supercharged .... and they have no idea

but anyways.....there will always be faster cars out there. Just enjoy what you have

 

Wouldn't that have been important to mention up front? Surely if you're out there spending 15K on mods you realize that CAIs and exhaust gains are tiny in comparison to a TT kit.

Even with the TT kit, the power-to-weight ratio is probably still you're biggest problem.

cobolts arent that slow they can easily put down 250 whp with simple bolt ons...a friend of mine ran 14.7 bone stock. I'd take a G35 over a ****ty cobolt any day though, I'm not buying a G35 to smoke every car on the road

 

yup that is the cobalt, though i never said i beat him he is like a supercharged neon and he weighs 2500 less than a g

dont feel like u are putting me out I LOST and I am not saying i did not, i admit it. there is a saying there is always someone faster, ive lost to a jdm civic hatch with 100shot and built motor, long story short you win some and lose some !
