The other day walking out of work i noticed that my driver side headlight is cracked on the inside. The car was never hit, there are no scratches on on the bumper or the surrounding area nor the headlight itself. The crack is on the chrome ribbed part of the housing and it is about 2-3" long.

At first i thought it might be just my car, but i did see the same thing on another G35 that was parked on the street (random car).

Anyone else experience the same thing?

 

Yup. Go to the dealer and let them know. They will replace it under warranty. I had both mine replaced over summer.

 

what year model is yours. My guess is not an 06. the older models are easily cracked with even a push at the wrong angle with enough force. The inner headlight piece is extremely fragile. Just go to the dealship and have it replaced under warranty.

just a reminder, if you have aftermarket bulbs, take em out first!

 

its an 03. i even looked at the tabs that hold the light in place to see if they had any damage or were broken which could have caused this but the tabs were fine.

i'm wondering if the dealer will try come up with an excuse not to replace them. since i have a few scuff marks from people parking and hitting the bumper

 

Can you request for the 06' projectors and pay the difference?
