Factory Lip Spoiler? G35coupe
Factory Lip Spoiler? G35coupe
I just ordered my G with the Lip Spoiler and I am thinking about lowering my car. Do you guys have any advice on how low I should go without having to worry about scrapping the lip spoiler on inclines. And, could anyone post pics of a G lowered with the lip spoiler. I would like to get an idea how it would look and how low to the ground the lip would be. I need to know ASAP while I still have a chance to cancel the lip spoiler.....Thanks

The G's low to begin with. You'll find many people here on this forum who compalin at stock height. If you wanna lower your car, I assume you just wanna go with new springs vs a complete coil over kit, correct? If so, you really don't have a huge selection of springs and height options. For the most part, most kits out there will lower your G from 1" to 1.75" depending on brand and whatnot.
I personally have 1.75" Sprint Springs with a Stillen front lip and does it bottom out, well yes sometimes. If you go straight into a steep incline or decline, you will rub the bottom a bit. The Stillen lip itself (not so for the Veilside) as well as the OEM lip do not extend down below what I will call the lowest point of the front facia. It's pretty much level, but what happens is becouse of its extended profile, you'll get rubbing.
From what I have heard, this will also happen in stock height as well, but obvioulsy more when lowered. You just gotta be careful.
