Miles per tank is completely useless info. Calculate your mpg and then decide if you should be concerned.

Also, this has been discussed in dozens of threads.

Usually about 420 when I fill up and I am at about 1/8 tank. About 17 gallons to fill. That's 24.7 mpg. 06 6mt, 1600 miles, 70%hwy, 30% city

Ever drive with the A/C on? When I had that many miles on my G, it would get 12.8mpg or around 250 miles per tank if I BABIED it. City driving mostly, but still... ridiculous.

I always drive with the AC on and the windows up (Auto-Econ mode). I was shocked by the mileage too especailly after reading the posts around here. However, in town, when traffic is bad (which is always) I shift at 2200 RPM. There is no point in reving it any higher when there is nowhere to go anyways. Also, I put the car in neutral and coast (for about a block) when I am coming up on a red light.

When there is no traffic, I generally shift about 2700 RPM. I just got over the break-in period, so I have only had the car over 4000 RPM twice now.

I just filled my tank today. It was just a shade below 1/2 and I overfilled it and put in 9.4 gallons and my trip odometer (which gets reset when I fill) was at 230.9...so that is close to 24.6...

My very first tank got 408 miles on 17.4 gallons...and that included about 30 minutes of idle time with me sitting in it reading the owners manual and playing with the gadgets...

Maybe its just that most of my miles are with me alone in the car and no passengers? It does not consume too much gas, but I do seem to have the oil consumption issue...nearly a quart in 1500 miles.
