Sport package... a must?
Sport package... a must?
just wondering before i purchase the car... im lookin at pre-owned (03-04) and i was just wondering if the Sports Package is a must for this Coupe.
Is there any other advantage besides the upgraded 18" wheels vs the 17"?
thanks

dont spend the rip off dough on the sprts package. just spend that cash on a camber kit and some nice coilovers and you will be much happier. otherwise, i bought an 06 with the sports package (which i have now taken off - springs, shocks, sways) and am selling...
I believe you also get the VLSD, which is a somewhat expensive part to add, so if thats something you think is necessary, then you should get it. I would say the sports package is worth it.

Viscous, I believe is the brand name, and LSD makes your wheels spin equally.
I don't have sports package on my car, but I do have the oem 18s. The car is great for normal driving, but I still definately feel body roll, and the car could have a more confident feel like a BMW. That's just my 2 cents. I've never driven a g35 with sports suspension though.

The 06' sports package includes a different few things that a standard G won;t have. These are a front bumper, different side skirts, stiffer spring/shocks, VLSD a steering wheel with orange stiching and drilled sport pedals. I can't think of anything else that the sport package includes..
Viscous Limited Slip Differential
not a brand name but a type of LSD.....the differential is similar to a standard differential but surrounded in a synthetic fluid that when encountering severe forces (such as donuts for example) will bond and become thick and will help move both wheels instead of one........or something like that
