I'm at an intersection @ 3 cars from the front and this guy in a 330 Ci is trying to get out of the drive entrance/exit which is just ahead of my bumper. There is not enough room for him to get out in front of me so when the light changes I go... but he decides that he wants to go also and has to stop abruptly- almost hitting me... The car behind me let him in... So he's tailgating me for @ 1/4 mile until the next light turns red- this time I'm the first car at the light. The 330 Ci whips around me into the next lane- cutting off some guys in a Honda. The light turns green and I punch it... it wasn't even close, he ends up having to get behind me again because his lane was about to end. He had plenty of room, I left him @ 8 or 9 car lengths. At the next light the guys in the Honda pull up beside me and gives me the thumbs up while the guy in the 330 Ci gets in the turning lane beside me. He doesn't even look over- I guess he was embarassed.

 

Basically, no Bimmer without an M will phaze you in a race. The new 545 6 speed might give you a run, and the 645 will definitely give you a run. But thts about it.

V8, 325 hp

So it's a little more than 1,000 lbs heavier than a G, right?
Sounds like a driver's race.

anyway when i drive my g around, always 325ci and 33ci bugging me so bad... why??? are they jealous over my car and feel stupid to pay 10k more for nothing??

 

RE: "M" BMW's only.......Not exactly correct. There has been discussion on BMW boards lately about M3 drivers being surprised by 540's keeping up with them. So watch out for M3's and 540's, and certainly the new 545. Other BMW's probably no sweat for the G.

 

745 is around 43 - 4400 pounds
and the 760 is 48 - 4900 pounds believe it or not
and our car is 3443 pounds in a 6mt.
so yah we can probably take em.

My boss has a brand new 745 and I have a Sedan. We have raced a couple of times and I have won hands down. He comments on how fast the Sedan is for 38k. I say thanks.......

Umm..the V12 400+ HP 760Li would rock our cars world...the 545 and 645 would work us too! It wouldnt even be close. I swear when BMW published their HP..they are publishing WHP..thats what they are doing with The Mini Coopers and I think have been doing it with their other cars as well.
