One of my friends has an Evo9 and the other I go up againsta lot is a Chrysler 300c. Now i know i dont stand a chance against the Evo9.. maybe not even so much with the 300c but I want my car to atleast keep up.. more than it has been. I know the famous response to my question which is to turbo or supercharge it. Besides doing that, what can I do to really enhance the performance of the vehicle? So far I have a K&N filter with a Z-tube (keep in mind I just got it 2 weeks ago).

What should I be looking into next?
Anything that you do that will seriously improve your car's power will void your warranty. Since your car is only a couple of weeks old, I wouldn't do anything dramatic. I'm sorry to tell you that if a car's acceleration is important to you, you bought the wrong car. The G35 has a lot to offer, but there are a lot of cars in its price range that are faster.

Enjoy what you have now...odds are in a couple of years the new G35 will be even faster then...just wait and then trade what you have in...if you still feel
the way you do....

agreed...you won't beat the evo with this unless your FI and you just bought the car. That would not be one of the best ideas at the moment. The only options you have are just some breather mods, suspension & Wheels and alot of practice driving if you couldnt hang with a 300c

Oh, is the search broken again?

I'd have to file this thread under "Stupid threads where people argue about how to get as much power from bolt ons as they would from FI by not spending a lot of money, voiding their warrenty, or modding their car too much."

Search for MREV2+. That and maybe a pop charger and you should be able to keep up with the 300C at least.

Be patient with your car...its not even broken in yet. I will get quicker with a few hundred miles under it belt. I got the chance to drive my neighbors new Z with 73 miles on it and it felt very sluggish. Noticeably slower than my G.

whoever thinks that stock for stock a G can even keep up with a evo9 (let along beating one) is just retarded. there is no way a G can even keep up unless FIed...and an evo can still be made much faster with alot less money! two diff cars for diff purpose and people. one is a lux GT (G35) one is a very fast rally car with not much else but performance.
The only performance area that i can think of that mya be a little bit closer between the two is highway speed.. but anything else, whether its from a dig, from low speed start, track, back roads etc.. G stands no chance unless the Evo driver cant drive wroth **** and shifts with his rigt foot..

G also stands no chance agasint an SRT8 of anykind, even with the weight (which G has plenty of as well) on that 300c. i think a G runs pretty even with a normal Hemi 300c.. but def. not an SRT8. a G runs low to mid 14s.. an 300C SRT8 runs low 13s.

our car really needs more power and less weight.. it really isnt fast at all.

I cant believe no one picked up on the fact that this guy has had his "brand new loaded G for 2 weeks" and has been racing all his friends. Way to go with the break in period. I somehow doubt you did the 1500 mile suggested break in in like 2 days. Might as well throw a turbo on it and finish it off. Motor is probably trashed if what you say is true. You will have a nice lawn orniment soon.
