well... this is all magazine talk. They are pros at driving.

Usually, the MT gets rated at 5.6 seconds.

Dont really know about auto... I assume around 5.9?

And no, using M mode wont help.

Plus, MT's have the rev-up engine.

18hp's with the rev-up angine wont do much for you, the MT is quicker only if it is launched properly which not everyone is able to do in order to get the faster 0-60 than an auto.

18 HP is enough to get you to 60 a fraction of a second quicker... but nothing youll notice unless you pay attention to it and take it to the drag strip.

Bottom point is the MT is significantly quicker than the auto, and its not only because of the launch.

People keep stating the MT has 18 more hp, but the auto has 10lb/ft more torque at 1600 RPM's less than the MT hits it's peak.

manual mode does help as you can rev a little higher... shifting is more lags but on the actual shift itself it is more responsive in manual mode.

no one is thinking...proven...under the right conditions its very possible and hey i've achieved it. Lots of new threads on 6mt.net talking about how easy it is to achieve it. Take a look. Would be more than glad for you to come and have a short run with some of us G's in LA if you wish
