Removing the logos on the back of the Coupe

I am wondering if there is a How to tread about how remove the badges most effectively? Or any tips from the guys on here that have done it. I want to remove the infinity wording and the g35 on the top right...

Will this effect the resale value at all?

Thanks for your time

I used a hair dryer and googone. It was pretty easy... the only thing that sucks is that you can still see the outlines if you look closely. I've been told it could be buffed to match, but I don't care... I dont think it should effect the value at all.

^you forgot the plastic scrapper, fishing line, plastic thread, or credit card to pry the letters off.

just apply hair dryer/heat gun and use the above mentioned tools to pry the letters off. After all symbols are removed, use goo gone to clean up any remaining glue residue left over. Then wax and buff.

and like my fello pinoy brotha said, it won't effect the value. Save the symbols if you are worried.

yes there is a DIY for this. but its simple. all you need is a hair dryer, some floss, goo gone or wd40..heat up the badges and use the floss to take them off. remove the remaining "goo" with wd40. remember to wax/polish that area afterwards.

Whatever you do, don't use your fingernail to scape the adhesive off. Someone on here did that and scratched their paint.
Use what's been said here and don't get impatient. Take your time.

do you really think so low of the G that its worth $5? The badging has nothing to do with the value what so ever. Why would it matter any way. Most ppl don't know the difference. If your going to be picky about it then don't buy it. No need to belittle the seller over something insignificant. How would you like someone pointing out a 1mm dent under the hood and say the car is wrecked? You wouldn't like that at all I'm sure.

Use a hair dryer to warm the glue on the badge, then about 10 pound test fishing line works best to remove the badge (better than dental floss).
Goo-gone is good to remove the left over glue. I've also had good results with Zippo or Ronson lighter fluid (naptha) to get rid of the glue.

cnaman...............

There are a few of us on the particular site that like
debadging our G's! If you don't, that's your business.
There are a lot of things guys/gals do to there cars
that I wouldn't do but I don't get my pantys in a wad!
The easiest way to debadge your trunk lid is by using
fishing line (doesn't break) then GooGone to get the
glue off the paint. Then it never hurts to clean and
wax the whole thing......your done! Looks Good!!
