new g owner

hey guys i just recently swithced form a jazz blue 20th anniversary gti to a 2004 twilight blue coupe. I am in love with the car and just wanted to introduce myself on the boards. I came over from vw vortex which is quite a large forum in its own. I am looking to do some performance mods in the near future and i have already ordered some overlays for the car as well as 20%tint on all windows. My question is that because i have a n automatic i am not prepared to do forced induction and i mainly am looking at amplifying the cars stock exhaust sound as well as maybe picking up like 20-30 Whp in all. I would like some suggestions as to what order to go with in mods. With my gti i did intake then cip and finally full exhaust however im not to sure if any chips are offered for this car and if they are even worthwhile. Thanks in advance. now for the pics of my old car and the new one

Plenum, exhaust, intake, headers, high flow, cats, TS ECU (last)

something to think about: 3.9 gear, lightweight flywheel, crank pulley

Start off with a baseline!

Welcome, Gcoupester, -- tight coupe you have congrats...

Agree with Deang35c6: "Plenum, exhaust, intake, headers, high flow, cats, TS ECU (last)

something to think about: 3.9 gear, lightweight flywheel, crank pulley

Start off with a baseline!"

Have fun modding.
C.

definitely will guys thanks for the warm welcome now when you guys say plenum are you referring to a spacer or to a new plenum chamber piece ? I have been looking to replace the plenum but all i see is plenums meant for the rev-up engines only so for 2004 non rev up is the only way to go with a 5/16 or 1/2 inch spacer or can the mrev2 or crawford work on my 04 with similar gains as well? Also what exhaust would someone recommend for a more aggressive stock note. I love the stock sound i just want it amplified while freeing up the breathin g for the car. thanks in advance guys

in that case you can just go with an aftermarket ypipe (fujitsubo y for example) and some highflow cats (fast intentions hfc's are popular on the forum). This just amplifies the stock note and gives a lower growl
